Create your wallet
What you’ll do: Create a new Stellar account in LOBSTR and store its recovery phrase safely.
A wallet is an app that holds your Stellar keys and assets (USDC, XLM). The recovery phrase it generates is the only way to restore the account — guard it like a root key.
Create the account
Install LOBSTR
Get it from lobstr.co or your app store.
Choose “Create account”
Not “Sign in”.
Record the recovery phrase
LOBSTR shows a list of words. Write them down, in order, on paper. Don’t screenshot or paste them anywhere.
Confirm the phrase
Re-enter the requested words to prove you saved them.
Set a PIN
Pick a PIN to lock the app on this device.
If you lose both your device and your recovery phrase, the funds are gone — there’s no reset. With the phrase, you can restore the wallet anywhere. Store the phrase offline before continuing. See Keep it safe.
Done when
The wallet is created, the recovery phrase is written down and stored offline, and a PIN is set. The account is empty — next you’ll add USDC and a little XLM.
