3. Deploy escrow

3. Deploy escrow

What you’ll do: Create the escrow contract that holds this repo’s bounty funds. You sign it in your own wallet — the platform never holds your keys.

Each repository has exactly one escrow contract. Deploy it once; every bounty in the repo draws from its balance.

How signing works here

TOSS builds an unsigned transaction and hands it to your wallet. You review and sign it; your wallet broadcasts it to Stellar. This is why the platform is non-custodial — it never sees your private key.

Deploy it

Open the repository

From the dashboard, click the repo. If escrow isn’t deployed yet, you’ll see a Deploy escrow action.

Click “Deploy escrow”

TOSS creates the unsigned deployment transaction and opens your wallet to sign.

Approve in your wallet

Review the transaction and approve. Your wallet pays a small XLM network fee and broadcasts it.

Wait for confirmation

Stellar confirms in a few seconds. The repo page flips to Escrow: deployed with a 0.00 USDC balance.

Don’t close the wallet popup or navigate away mid-signature. If the wallet closes before you approve, nothing is deployed — just click Deploy escrow again.

Done when

The repo page shows Escrow: deployed with a USDC balance of 0.00. The contract is live on Stellar and ready to fund.
