Add USDC (trustline)
What you’ll do: Add a USDC trustline so your account can receive bounty payouts.
On Stellar, an account must explicitly authorize each non-native asset it will hold. That authorization is a trustline. It’s a one-time, on-chain operation that costs a tiny XLM fee and then persists. Without it, a USDC payout has nowhere to land.
Add the trustline
Open your wallet’s assets
Go to the assets/currencies area and choose to add an asset.
Search for USDC
Select the USDC issued by Circle (the verified mainnet issuer), not a look-alike.
Confirm and pay the XLM fee
Approve adding the asset. A small XLM network fee applies.
Verify it appears at 0.00
USDC now shows in your asset list with a zero balance, ready to receive.
Verify the issuer. On mainnet, Circle issues USDC from a specific account. Anyone can mint a token called “USDC” from a different issuer — adding the wrong one means payouts won’t arrive and you could be handling a worthless look-alike. Add only the wallet’s verified USDC.
Mainnet USDC issuer: TODO-VERIFY
Done when
USDC appears in your wallet with a 0.00 balance. Your account can now receive USDC.
